History

The rich farmlands in the southwest Indiana Territory was a popular site for settlers, thanks to the easy access to the Ohio River and settlers looking for the perfect soil began to migrate to the area. One of these settlers was William Prince, born in Ireland and immigrating to America when he was 22. He would become the founder of Princeton as well as a Gibson County Commissioner and the namesake for the county seat of Princeton.

With the advent of the railroad and the already existing river ways, Princeton grew with the times. Today, Princeton is a great place to call home, with its history of farming and manufacturing and neighbors who treat you like family.
